Course Objectives
1. Upon completion of the Instructor Course, the student instructor will be prepared to take an exam given by the state licensing commission over all the skills of teaching cosmetology and related theory with at least a 75% accuracy.
2. Upon completion of the Instructor Course, the student will have completed a notebook containing a teaching lesson plan for each subject of the Cosmetology Curriculum.
3. At the end of the Instructor Course, the student instructor will be able to understand the processes of enrolling students, keeping student records, and state board exam requirements for students.
4. At the completion of the Instructor Course, successful performance on the state exam, and receipt of an instructor license, the student instructor will be qualified to secure a position as an instructor of cosmetology in any cosmetology program.
The Instructor Course teaches classroom and clinic procedures. The course covers all phases of Cosmetology. An applicant for the Instructor's Course must be at least 18 years of age, have completed the 12th grade or its equivalent, and have a valid operator's license. Everything for this course is furnished in the tuition.
The goals of this course are to train the student for entry level employment in a Cosmetology school as a Licensed Instructor. A Cosmetology Instructor is prepared to teach in all areas of Cosmetology.
The course description includes but is not necessarily limited to a study of basics relating to teaching the art and science of cosmetology and or related fields. The course curriculum includes methodology for teaching theory subject material, preparing lesson plans, presenting lesson plans, becoming proficient in presenting study material orally, presenting hands on demonstration of skills associated with cosmetology and or related units of study. The course is presented in a manner to prepare one to successfully pass a state licensing exam and become gainfully employed in a public or private teaching industry.

nail technician, manicurist, pedicurist, skin care specialist.
3. When were they employed? All students listed as placed must have been working between January 1, 2010
and November 30, 2011 to be counted as employed.
4. How were graduates tracked? Mailing surveys and direct contact by calling the graduates
and employers.
